My name is Tom Cramer and I am here to introduce myself and my basic campaign platform for Washington's 8th district Congressional campaign. My beliefs in hard work and middle class values are based on my early life. My father was a union janitor and and my mother worked in retail and as a secretary while I was growing up. Along with state grants, I worked my way through college as a union janitor and as an assembly worker at a hog feeder factory. My three children went to state colleges in Washington.

I have been an educator and an administrator, a rehabilitation director and a small business owner for 15 years. I've run a nationwide political action committee for the last eight years that worked to elect progressive Democratic candidates to Congress. My campaign experience in over 48 Congressional races elected 16 people to Congress. I am conducting an intense, grassroots, bottom-up campaign.

I am part of this area of the Northwest because of the people and their creativity and innovation for the country. I am proud to be part of the middle class and I believe the middle class is the strength of the American way of life. We must create new jobs and the educational foundation to support a vibrant middle class.
